

ABOUT MENTAL HEALTH FIRST AID
Mental Health First Aid is an internationally recognised training course which teaches people how to spot the signs and symptoms of mental ill health and provide help on a first aid basis.
Learning takes place through a mix of group activities, presentations and discussions. What you learn will depend on the length of course you attend.

− A deeper understanding of mental health and the factors that can affect people’s wellbeing, including your own
− Practical skills to spot the triggers and signs of mental health issues
− Confidence to step in, reassure and support a person in distress
− Enhanced interpersonal skills such as non-judgemental listening
− Knowledge to help someone recover their health by guiding them to appropriate support

To become a mental health first aider, you can enrol on to one of our virtual courses.

If the current climate is making you anxious about face to face training,
this course can be carried out in the comfort of your own home with zero face to face interaction.
All you need is a laptop with working camera, your course materials which we will send you, and the desire to experience a course like no other
MHFA 2 DAY COURSE - ONLINE

This is a two day course, where delegates can complete their mental health first aid instructor course online.
The training will comprise of 4 sections, split over the 2 days.
delegates will be required to complete numerous modules prior to the online sessions starting.
Once training is complete, delegates will be a certified Mental Health First Aider, accredited by MHFA England
MHFA 2 DAY COURSE - FACE TO FACE

The days may be split over a 2 week period or back to back depending on availability.
Course venues will be across the northwest.
